I'm re-posting this painting from a couple of years ago since I'm visiting family to help out and I won't have much time for painting. I'm thinking this title may apply to my daughter's life right now as she's trying to navigate caring for a two yr old and a 5 month old while on crutches.

I’ve been busier than I’d like to be this summer. I’ve done a lot of traveling which I enjoy but what I treasure the most about summer is the luxury of time to just breathe and enjoy my surroundings, much like this duck (called a Black Brant) is doing. When I paint scenes like this one, I’m reminded of and grateful for the serenity that nature provides.
