Today’s
painting is based on a walk we took through tall shady trees on a warm summer
day in New England. Somewhere to the left there was a meandering stream where,
when we were sufficiently warmed by the sun, we could go wading in cool water
coming down from the distant mountain.
It was so much fun to paint these
warm greens and other summer colors when all I see out the window are greys and
browns. How great it is to bring summer just a little closer!
